Before independence, this section was used as a kind of library, but later the meeting of the Constituent Assembly started and our Constitution took shape here. In 1947, the British government transferred power. This Central Hall is also a witness to that process. India’s tricolor and national anthem were adopted in this hall.Parliament Special Session : प्रधानमंत्री Narendra Modi ने Central Hall अपने संबोधन में कहा क‍ि आज हम विकसित भारत के संकल्‍प को दोहराने, संकल्‍पबद्ध होने और उसको परिपूर्ण करने के प्रति जी जान से जुटने के लिए नए संसद भवन में जाएंगे. आजादी के पूर्व ये खंड एक प्रकार से लाइब्रेरी के रूप में इस्‍तेमाल होता था, लेकिन बाद में संविधान सभा की बैठक शुरु हुई है और हमारे संविधान ने यहां आकार लिया. 1947 में अंग्रेजी हुकुमत ने सत्‍ता हस्‍तांतरण किया. उस प्रकिया का भी साक्षी ये Central Hall है. इसी हॉल में भारत के तिरंगे, राष्‍ट्रगान को अपनाया गया.
